A State Highway Patrol trooper was killed, he went to black college North Carolina Central University and played football. Several Omega frat members have been killed. NCCU students have died too recently
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Master Trooper Steven Perry, 30, was killed in a head on crash on March 1, 2026 in Durham, NC. Melshawn Moore, 39, was also killed in the crash.

Steven was on duty driving on the NC-147 highway in a patrol vehicle. Melshawn was driving the wrong way in traffic when he slammed head on into Steven. Melshawn was driving a Nissan.
Both Steven and Melshawn died on impact. Steven is an alumni of historically black college university North Carolina Central University where he played football.

Steven was also a member of the Omega fraternity. The Omega fraternity has a bad reputation of beating and hazing their potential members during the pledging process.
A wide range of Omega rituals requires many pledgees to spit egg yokes into each others mouths from the same egg, the last member in line must then swallow the egg yoke after it has been in all the other member’s mouths.

There is no word yet on what led to the crash, toxicology tests are pending to determine if alcohol was involved.
