Robert LeMay, 63, died in the first week of September 2026. Robert is the brother of Charlotte Pastor Stacy Lemay. Robert was a firefighter in New Jersey for several years. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Robert leaves behind a wife Debra aged 62 and a large family. Robert’s cause of death is unknown at this time, but no foul play is suspected. Robert took a vacation to Panama in 2024. Robert was also known to dye his beard often.
Robert was also known to throw large surprise birthday parties for his wife. Robert’s mom Mary is still living. Pastor Stacy Lemay has several high profile children. His sons Christian Lemay, Ben Lemay, and Uriah Lemay all played football. Ben made it to the NFL on practice teams but it appears he never made a 53 man NFL roster.
The kids all played at Butler High School in North Carolina. Christian was a star quarterback at the school, but he got kicked off the team after having an intimate encounter with a female teen on school property. The principal of the school walked in on Christian and the girl having the intimate sensual consensual encounter, Christian was then kicked off the team and out of Butler for his senior year.
The media asked Pastor Stacy Lemay why Christian got removed from Butler High School and the pastor would only say it was a youthful mistake.
Instead of going to an alternative school for troubled kids Christian just went to the University of Georgia early on a full scholarship, he would later transfer to another smaller university due to lack of playing time. Christian never made it to the NFL.
Uriah went on to play at the University of Georgia too, but he lacked playing time and transferred to UNC Charlotte. He never went to the NFL and was not a huge star at UNC Charlotte.
Ben also played at UNC Charlotte and was a big factor at the running back position on the team. Ben later played on NFL practice teams, criticized for his speed and smaller size, he did not make final roster NFL teams.
Funeral arrangements for Robert have not been set yet.
