4 Charlotte people died this Labor Day weekend. A vacation turned out to be terrible and deadly for a man from Charlotte identified as Langston Neal, he jumped into Lake Wylie and died while he was on vacation.
21-year-old Langston Neal died in Lake Wylie on Labor Day September 7, 2026 in South Carolina. Langston lives in Charlotte and was at Lake Wylie for vacation. This is the 4th Charlotte person to be killed this 2026 Labor Day weekend. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Langston was on vacation at the lake, he jumped from a boat into the water and never resurfaced.Friends and family became frantic and made an emergency radio transmission for help. Water drones and divers were used to find Langston. The victim had just turned the legal liquor drinking age of 21, but it is unknown if he was drinking alcoholic beverages.
His dead body was took from the water around 9 p.m. on Labor Day. It appears Langston drowned. An undercurrent sucked Langston into the water when he jumped in.
The undercurrent was so strong that swimming was impossible for the victim. The victim’s balloon release is scheduled for September 12th on Camp Greene St in Charlotte, NC.
Langston is the 4th Charlotte person to be killed this Labor Day weekend. A police officer was murdered in Charlotte identified as Manuel.
On Labor Day 2026 September 7th a victim was murdered on Marvin Road Charlotte, NC.
