MR. TOKYO JAPANESE RESTAURANT SCORES 84 B ON HEALTH INSPECTION, EMPLOYEE WIPED NOSE AND DIDN’T WASH HANDS

The Mr. Tokyo Japanese Restaurant on 10012 Benfield Rd. Charlotte, NC scored an 84 B on a health safety inspection on July 23, 2024.

There were flying pests throughout the kitchen. The inspector observed a pest lamp sitting on the food prep table.

A fly insect was in the chopped vegetables. The inspector had the food thrown away.

There were several plates and appetizer plates stacked as clean with food debris on them.

The popular Jinya Ramen Bar in uptown Charlotte scored an 87.50 B on an inspection due to poor kitchen practices

The inspector saw a employee wipe their nose with their bare hands and then place gloves on without washing hands.

Salads, cream cheese, tuna, and shrimp were cold held at unsafe temperatures above 41 F in the cooler.

The House of Taipei Chinese restaurant had heavily molded onions
