Huntersville Police Department Officer Michael Ciarleglio was arrested on the job in uniform on July 15, 2026 after reporting to duty displaying signs of impairment.
Officer Ciarleglio came to work allegedly drunk. His co-worker cops noticed strange behavior from Officer Ciarleglio and they told a supervisor. A preliminary investigation resulted in Officer Ciarleglio being arrested on duty in uniform, charged with driving while impaired.
Huntersville Police Chief Brian Vaughan has issued a recommendation to town management that Officer Ciarleglio be terminated immediately.
