Conner Yancy, 20, was murdered in a wild drive-by shooting on May 22, 2024 in Charlotte, NC.
Conner was shot and killed on scene. The vehicle then inadvertently drove into the rear of a Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) bus causing extensive damage.
The female passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The CATS bus was occupied only by the driver, who was not injured.
This is the beginning to a likely violent memorial Day weekend in Charlotte. Another murder occurred hours later on the same day.
