Marcus Ragland and Ashley Hawkins were flipped in an ATV crash and killed
Marcus Ragland and Ashley Hawkins died in a ATV crash at the Indian Mountain ATV Park in Cherokee County, Alabama on August 30, 2025. The victims had 11 kids together. Seven of the kids were injured in the crash but survived. Indian Mountain ATV Park is in in the Appalachian Mountain range.
Marcus was driving an ATV with Ashley and 7 of their kids aboard. Marcus was going fast when the ATV collided with another ATV.
The crash sent the ATV Marcus and family were in careening 150 feet and flipping over. The ATV crashed into a tree.
Marcus and Ashley died instantly. The kids sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Some of the kids had to be air lifted to the hospital.
The location of the accident was remote and difficult to access, ATV park staff had to escort emergency personnel to the crash site.
