At 10:00 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon 911 call on Tom Hunter Rd. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
10 people were killed in one week last month in Charlotte
Shortly after, officers received a dispatch to a shot juvenile victim on North Tryon St. where they located a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
A third victim arrived at a nearby hospital after being shot. All 3 shootings occurred at the same spot on Tom Hunter making this a triple shooting. Detectives are working to determine the relationship between the three victims.
