1-year-old Zy’Aire Nevels was murdered in a drive-by shooting on June 3, 2023 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Davon Chapman, 27, was charged with Zy’aire’s murder.
Zy’Aire was in a vehicle riding with her parents on June 3rd. Davon began following them in a separate vehicle. Zy’aire’s parents noticed Davon was following them, so they sped up, but Davon followed them through a red light.
Davon is then accused of firing shots at Zy’aire’s parents. Zy’Aire was shot by the gunfire. Zy’aire died on the scene, her parents were not shot.
Davon was arrested the next day and charged with first degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
