YOUTH INMATE FAILS TO RETURN TO JUVENILE JAIL AFTER HOME VISIT

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports that a juvenile inmate identified as Lovit P at the Chatham Youth Development Center in Siler City, NC failed to return to the jail on March 15, 2020 following a home visit.

Lovit was an inmate at the juvenile detention facility and was allowed to have occasional home visits on weekends. Lovit was last seen on March 14, 2020, at approximately 10 p.m. in Charlotte, NC. The juvenile’s home county is Mecklenburg County. The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
