Kizzie Poe, 42, died on May 6, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. New findings show she died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity. Kizzie leaves behind 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Kizzie was found dead in a locked motel room. Motel staff noticed it was past Kizzie’s checkout time, staff knocked on her door and called the room phone to no avail.
Staff then used a master key to open the door to Kizzie’s room, and Kizzie was found dead. Kizzie was well nourished and clothed with a t-shirt and sweat pants at the time of her death.
After death it was found that the fentanyl and cocaine overdose caused pulmonary vascular congestion and edema along with focally severe atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.
During an autopsy Kizzie’s bladder contained 300 ml of clear yellow urine, her left ovary and fallopian tube were absent.
Kizzie had an all black attire funeral on May 13th.
