VIDEO: SHOOT OUT AT BAR INVOLVES FIRE FIGHTER AND FOOTBALL PLAYER, DOUBLE SHOOTING

Mack Ogletree was arrested on September 17, 2024 after allegedly getting into a shoot out with men at 629 Sports Bar in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mack played football for St. Joseph’s College in Indiana where he graduated from years ago. Mack went on to play semi pro football for the Texas Revolution and a few other teams. Mack never made an NFL roster due to his lack of speed. 

Mack is currently a fire fighter with the Cincinnati Fire Department. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The shooting was on August 11, 2024. Several people are seen arguing outside the 629 Sports Bar. A man in a white shirt who police say is Mack is accused of shooting into a crowd of people late at night.

The group then returns fire and a shootout ensues. One victim was shot in the head, and another victim was shot in the shoulder. 

All the shooters then ran. An arrest was not made until over a month after the shooting. Mack was identified as a suspect by cops, and he was arrested on the job while working overtime as a fire fighter. 

Mack is charged with two counts of felonious assault. Mack has a fiancée and two children.

Both shot victims are expected to survive. The fire department put Mack on unpaid administrative leave.

In a statement, the Cincinnati Fire Department said:

“The fire department holds its members to the highest standards of conduct both on and off duty. Our primary focus remains on the safety and well being of the community we serve, and our commitment to upholding the trust and respect of citizens remains unwavering.”
