A wild Tesla Cyber Truck rampage ends in a police standoff in Garner, NC. 32-year-old Nathan Tharp is accused of running over his wife in a Tesla Cyber Truck on January 22, 2026. On Jan. 22nd Nathan was in an argument with his wife. The wife called 911. Nathan kicked her out of the car in the snow as cops were arriving. Nathan is accused of running over his wife with a fully powered Tesla Cyber Truck while the couple’s kid was in the truck.
The collision knocked the woman to the ground just as police were arriving. The wife ran and Nathan tried running her over again. The wife said her baby was in the truck.
Officers shot at the truck, but Nathan was not shot. Nathan ran from the truck and into a random family’s home, barricading himself inside for hours. The family ran from the home. A SWAT team and negotiator were brought in.
Nathan finally surrendered. The baby was not hurt. He was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation, then released later that night, he now faces multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and assault on a law enforcement officer.
