A head on crash involving school buses occurred today in Charlotte, multiple kids hurt
On January 29, 2026 two Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools school buses collided in Charlotte, NC at the intersections of Bertonley Avenue and Water Oak Road. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
One bus was driving eight Randolph Middle School students to school due to a 2 hour delay from the winter snow storm. Another school bus was empty. The 2 school buses then crashed into each other head on at 11 a.m.
Both buses had heavy front end damage. Multiple kids were hurt in the crash. Another bus arrived on scene and transported students that were not hurt to school.
