Doctor Kenneth Burtner owns Carolina Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, but things got heated when he allegedly assaulted his daughter in an altercation
Kenneth Burtner, 51, is a doctor. In fact he owns his own doctor’s office Carolina Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, specializing in dental surgery and oral care. Doctor Burtner was arrested on January 23, 2026 in Charlotte, NC accused of getting in a fight with his step daughter Lake Madison over her boyfriend. Dr. Burtner got into an argument with Lake about the man she was dating. The argument turned physical and Dr. Burtner is accused of trying to grab Lake’s phone from her and tackling her to the ground while also pushing her and forcibly grabbing her.
Lake had visible red scratches on her arm, a deep red mark on her body, and redness on her face. A third party bystander captured part of the incident on video. It shows Lake getting up from the ground and arguing with Dr. Burtner.
The footage shows the doctor allegedly grabbing Lake by the head/neck area as Lake yells for help. The 3rd party then called cops.
The 911 caller advised a male was attacking a female. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim and saw injuries on her. She said she was arguing and fighting with her step dad Dr. Burtner about her boyfriend.
Due to the visible signs of injury on Lake and the 3rd party video, Dr. Burtner was arrested charged with domestic violence and assault. Dr. Burtner and Lake live together.
