On January 24, 2023 a victim was murdered on West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC at the Citgo gas station.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., a suspect shot and killed one person at the gas pumps. The suspect fled. Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call and discovered the victim with a gunshot wound.
Medic pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.
Representatives from the police Operations Command Unit, Victim Services Unit, CFD, and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
