19-year-old Uriah McCree was shot and killed on March 22, 2022. The shooting was on Interstate 85 in Gaston County North Carolina. Uriah had brothers and sisters that are 6 and 9 years old.
A suspect shot into the vehicle that Uriah was riding in on I-85 at Edgewood Road Exit 10B, the shots hit Uriah in the face and his body multiple times. The shooting caused a minor wreck. The suspect then sped off.
The murder was during rush hour traffic a little after 5 p.m. Emergency paramedics arrived to the scene, and Uriah was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The murder shut down I-85 for hours.
It’s unclear what led to the homicide.
