Rashad was running from cops on Interstate 77 in stolen car, another car ran him over while he was on foot
Rashad Boston, 18, was killed on I-77 in Charlotte, NC during a high speed chase with police.

Rashad was killed on May 3, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. The situation began when cops were alerted to a vehicle reported stolen from Old Pineville Road. Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop; however, the driver refused to stop and cops lost sight of the vehicle. Rashad and another suspect were in the stolen car.
Other officers got in on the chase and the suspect vehicle crashed on I-77. The two occupants in the stolen vehicle exited the vehicle and fled on foot on I-77.
One suspect was taken into custody. Rashad ran across the lanes of interstate traffic. A passing motorist then hit Rashad accidentally with a car.
Rashad was knocked into the air and died on impact, Rashad came crashing onto the hard asphalt, disfiguring his face. The driver of the vehicle that struck the suspect remained on scene and was not deemed at fault.
