A male victim died at the hospital after being shot
Koreon Medina, 26, was shot and killed on July 27, 2023 during a murder on Hood Road Charlotte, NC. A 17-year-old has been charged with Koreon’s homicide.
At 2:18 a.m., on July 27th officers received a call about a gunshot victim identified as Koreon arriving at a hospital in Cabarrus County.
The shooting scene was on Hood Road. Detectives responded to the hospital and the shooting scene to conduct an investigation.
Koreon was pronounced deceased at the hospital due to his injuries.
As a result of the investigation, detectives identified and obtained warrants for the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile suspect in connection to this case. On July 28, 2023, the teenage suspect was located and arrested. The suspect was transported to police headquarters on 601 East Trade Street and was interviewed by detectives.
The suspect was then transported to the Cabarrus County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
