Queen’s Soul Food restaurant lacked control of food safety measures in the facility and an inability to demonstrate knowledge on food safety principles.
There was no certified food protection manager present during the inspection. Several cockroaches were on the floors throughout Queen’s Soul Food restaurant. Even worse, 2 small cockroaches were present within a bin of sugar, causing massive cross contamination. The sugar container was then thrown away.
The soap dispenser was not working for the hand sink that is present in the kitchen; no paper towels were at the kitchen sink either. That is a sign of poor hand washing.
Dirty pots and pans were in the clean dish rack. There was a large amount of rust buildup in the walk in cooler. Employee food was over top of open containers of tilapia and catfish.
Mr. Chime Time is a famous food critic, he came to Charlotte in 2024 and ate at Queen’s Soul Food, he said the food was bull shit, and he hated it. He said the food smells bad and cheap too.
