Jeremiah Gonzalez is the teenager that was shot in the face while playing video games
Jeremiah Gonzalez, 16, died on September 22, 2025 after being shot at a sleep over in Charlotte, NC. Yosue Ramos, 20, is accused of shooting Jeremiah. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The shooting was on September 21, 2025, at 3:41 AM. Jeremiah, Yosue and other juvenile teenagers were having a sleep over and playing video games at a home on East Todd Ln. Teenagers killed are a growing concern in Charlotte.
Jeremiah was laying in bed while the others were playing video games. Yosue allegedly had brought two firearms to show off. Yosue is accused of picking up the guns and pointed it at Jeremiah and pulling the trigger.
Jeremiah was shot in the face as a result, specifically in his right temple and right upper arm. The other juveniles tried to render aid to Jeremiah, while the parents called 911.
Yosue left the scene in a red truck. Jeremiah was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. A short time later, Yosue was found and arrested for assault with deadly weapon and possession of stolen gun on September 21st.
Sadly, on September 22, 2025 Jeremiah died at the hospital. Murder charges are expected to be upgraded for Yosue.
