NFL running back Rudi Johnson had CTE, he took too many hits in the NFL and later had mental problems
Rudi Johnson, 45, played in the NFL from 2001-2007 as a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals. Rudi died by suicide on September 23, 2025 in Florida.

Rudi killed himself around midnight. Rudi was drafted by the Bengals in 2001, he played college football at Auburn.
Rudi had 49 touchdowns in his NFL career along with 5,979 all purpose yards, Rudi took many hard hits from 350 pound men in the NFL.
Years after his retirement Rudi began suffering from mental health issues and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy better known as CTE.
All of which led Rudi to having mental health issues and killing himself for no reason.
