SUSPECT PLEADS GUILTY TO STABBING MAN IN DOWNTOWN CHARLOTTE

On January 24, 2025 Jamarcus Huntley, 39, pled guilty to stabbing a man during an altercation on East Trade St. Charlotte, NC.

The stabbing was on June 30, 2022. Jamarcus stabbed a 55-year-old male victim multiple times in broad daylight during a dispute. 

The victim had serious injuries and had to be hospitalized. Jamarcus was identified as a suspect, he was arrested shortly afterwards charged with attempted first degree murder and assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Right before his 2025 criminal trial Jamarcus pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon, and  assault with a deadly weapon on a government official. 

A judge sentenced Jamarcus to 96-128 months in prison.
