On January 22, 2025 police arrested a daycare worker identified as 30-year-old Delicia Chambers. She works at Childtime Learning Center in Monroe, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Delicia faces three counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Delicia is accused of spraying the daycare students in the face with soap and water.
The kids went home and told their parents. The parents then waged complaints about the daycare. A state inspection conducted by The North Carolina Department of Child Development and Early Education revealed 10 violations at Childtime Learning Center in January 2025 that dealt with emergency care and staff/child ratio issues.
Police also arrested Delicia on the child abuse allegations, as she was charged on 3 counts of child abuse. Delicia was released from jail after submitting a written promise to appear in court.
