SUSPECT CONVICTED TO LIFE IN PRISON AFTER MAN MURDERED

On June 28, 2023 Jeffrey Boggs, 29, was convicted for the murder of Demarco Pegues, 31. The victim was murdered in a shooting at a shopping center on South Tryon Street Charlotte, NC.

The homicide was on Thursday March 29, 2018 just before noon. Demarco and Jeffrey agreed to meet up in a parking lot of a shopping center.

While in the vehicle Jeffrey fatally shot Demarco, prosecutors say. Officers arrived on scene and found Demarco inside the vehicle dead.

On March 30, 2018 Jeffrey was arrested at a hotel located on Lucky Penny Street in Charlotte, he was charged with murder.

Several years later, the suspect was found guilty of murder and a firearm offense. The judge sentenced Jeffrey to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
