POPEYES RESTAURANT SCORES 83 B ON FOOD INSPECTION, DEAD BUGS FOUND

The Popeyes chicken restaurant located at 6107 The Plaza Charlotte, NC scored an 83 B on a food safety inspection on April 16, 2024.

Buttermilk and blackened ranch to go packets were labeled ‘keep refrigerated’ at drive through window sitting at 73 degrees, the inspector had the dressings discarded.

The manager was unable to answer operational questions as the restaurant had several priority item violations. Spider webs were found at the Popeyes on North Tryon St.

The manager was not certified in food protection. The manger was also not knowledgeable of the health policy.

2 open employee drinks were on prep tables. The mustard to go packs were open and sticky. A Popeyes employee at the Wilkinson Blvd. location touched their nose and tried to touch food without washing hands.

Several pans, lids, and plastic containers were stored as clean with food debris and sticker label residue on them.

A Popeyes employee put the wrong date on portioned cups of coleslaw. Even a dead bug was in the female bathroom and near the cooler.

Boxes of food were on the floor in the freezer. A Popeyes employee was working in the kitchen without a hair restraint or beard guard on.

A scooper for the ice machine was stored unprotected on top of a dirty tray with food debris

Food equipment and ovens were dirty with grease buildup and food debris. A large hole was in the wall next to the back door. Click here to see some of the fights at various Popeyes restaurants.
