Derrick Baker, 22, was murdered in a triple shooting on October 3, 2024. The shooting was on Tom Hunter Road Charlotte, NC. Derrick was a new father with a newborn baby.
Derrick, a juvenile, and a third victim were shot around 10 p.m. near West Sugar Creek. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.
Derrick died on scene. The juvenile was shot also and taken by friends to North Tryon St. where they flagged down a ambulance. The juvenile victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
A third victim arrived at a nearby hospital after being shot. All 3 shootings occurred at the same spot on Tom Hunter making this a triple shooting. Detectives are working to determine the relationship between the three victims.
