The men accused of killing Abraham Wallace, 22, are no longer murder defendants, because prosecutors dropped the charges. Justen Howard, 25, and Tyshoine McAfee, 26, were accused of murdering Abraham in Charlotte, NC on Waddell Street.

Abraham was murdered at 10:12 p.m. on November 12, 2017.Metro Division patrol officers responded to a 911 call about shots being fired. When cops arrived the officers located a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway.Abraham was lying in the street beside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.A K-9 Team responded to the scene and attempted to track the suspects but were unable to locate anyone.
A few days later Justen and Tyshoine were arrested charged with Abraham’s murder. Daquan Timmons, 27, was also charged with the murder. Emmanuel Tucker, 27, was arrested charged with accessory after the fact, he is not pictured in this article.
In December 2022 prosecutors dropped Tyshoine’s homicide charges without leave, but a plea agreement was made. The plea agreement is not known.
Also in December 2022 the same Mecklenburg District Attorney’s Office dropped the murder charge on Justen without leave. No plea agreement was made.
Emmanuel’s charge was dismissed by prosecutors too, without leave and with no plea agreement.
In October 2022 Dequan was found guilty on a lesser charge of second degree murder. He was given a minimum of 192 months in prison and a maximum of 243 months in prison. He was also given credit for time served, which was 1,788 days in jail.
Dequan also racked up an attorney bill of $18,219.96.
