Daizah Gibson, 24, was arrested on December 7, 2023 accused of causing a wreck that killed 74-year-old Ann Bryan in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The crash was on December 2, 2023 on Pence Road.
At approximately 8:57 p.m. Daizah was driving a Mercury car when she allegedly crossed the center line and struck a Honda head on that was driven by Ann.
Ann sustained serious injuries and was transported by medics to Atrium Health Main Hospital. Daizah was taken to the hospital also.
Both vehicles had extensive front end damage.
Ann was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Daizah went to the emergency room and officers questioned her.
When Daizah was released from the hospital days later, she was arrested charged with felony death by vehicle. Daizah was a 2023 graduate of The University of North Carolina Charlotte.
