MAN WINS $1 MILLION LOTTERY AT CHARLOTTE FOOD LION

On July 13, 2023 Jerry Mullins won the lottery in the amount of $1 million in Charlotte, NC at the Food Lion grocery store on Johnston Road.

Jerry entered the Food Lion and bought a $10 scratch off Multiplier Mania lottery ticket and won the first $1 million prize in the new scratch off game.Jerry realized that he won and arrived at lottery headquarters. 

He could choose to receive the prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000. He chose the lump sum amount of $600,000 and, after required state and federal tax with-holdings, took home $427,503.
