Rogerick Currie was brutally murdered near a gay bar
Rogerick Currie, 35, was murdered on September 7, 2025 on Queen City Drive Charlotte, NC right down the street from the Woodshed bar, it is a gay club. Rogerick was in the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
At 1:15 a.m. Rogerick was shot just blocks away from the Woodshed club. EMS and police arrived on scene and found the victim shot. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Rogerick was rushed to the hospital where he died within moments. Currently, there are no individuals being pursued in connection with this case.
Rogerick was an alumni of Claflin University in South Carolina, the oldest historically black college university in the state.
