Miguel tied up a woman, mutilated her, and killed her on Easter Sunday, she had closed casket funeral, God saw to it that the suspect died in jail
Miguel Gonzalez Rosales, 38, died in the Mecklenburg County Jail on August 6, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. He was accused of murdering Laura Miller, 35, back on Easter Sunday April 9, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. Miguel cut Laura’s tongue out. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram. Laura’s body was so cut up and damaged that she had a closed casket funeral.
Miguel was in jail for the murder of Laura. At 12:06 p.m., the inmate was found unresponsive at the jail.
Medical staff was notified and rendered aid to the inmate. However, Miguel was pronounced deceased within minutes. In 2024 a forensic psychologist found Miguel incapable to proceed in the murder case.
So it is unclear why he was still in jail.
Laura had cancer years ago, enough to the point that she was on chemo therapy for a while. Laura ended up beating cancer, she was healed and declared cancer free. Laura would be murdered years later.
Laura was murdered on April 9, 2023 at apartments on Southwood Oaks Lane in Charlotte.
Laura’s tongue was cut out of her mouth and put in the kitchen.
Laura’s ankles were bound by a cable and there were multiple wires wrapped around her neck. She also suffered from a laceration starting at her neck and running to her belly button. Laura’s skin and body parts were scattered throughout the apartment.
Laura also had extensive damage to her face and head to the point it was unrecognizable. A broken table was used to make three crosses that surrounded Laura’s dead body.
Laura also had burns on both of her inner thighs, salt was poured around her.
On April 9th Miguel’s brother entered the apartment and found the graphic bloody scene and Laura dead. Police were called and an investigation was launched. Miguel was identified as the suspect.
Miguel was arrested on the same day in a traffic stop and charged with murder, desecrating a body, and auto theft.
Laura had a funeral with family and friends present, her body was so disfigured and damaged that the decision was made for her to have a closed casket funeral.
