MAN MURDERED IN SHOOTING AT BAR, ALTERCATION WITH TOW MAN

Josue Martinez, 25, was shot and killed during an argument over a boot on a tire in Charlotte, NC at a bar on Eastway Drive. The shooting was on November 5, 2023.

At 2:44 a.m., Josue was leaving a bar with a friend. He was parked in another businesses parking lot next door to the bar. But overnight parking at the next door business was not allowed. 

A tow man put a boot on Josue’s vehicle. Josue got back to his vehicle as the tow man was just finishing putting on the boot. 

An argument between Josue and the tow man began. At some point the men began shooting at each other. Both men were shot and rushed to the hospital. 

On November 6, 2023, Josue died at Atrium Health Main Hospital.

The tow man is still in the hospital and is expected to recover.
