Benjamin Taylor, 35, was arrested in Imperial County, California on March 16, 2024. He is accused of murdering a mother and her 2 kids identified as Markayla Johnson, 22, and her two children 4-year-old Miracle Johnson and 7-month-old Messiah Johnson in Charlotte, NC. Markayla and her kids were found dead at an apartment complex on Orchard Trace Lane Charlotte, NC. The family had been missing since March 3, 2024.
Markayla and the kids had not been seen or heard from, so the family grew concerned and notified cops. Police never searched Markayla’s apartment until weeks after the family’s disappearance.
Markayla and the kids lived in an apartment on Orchard Trace Lane. After being missing for weeks, cops finally got a search warrant and entered Markayla’s apartment where they found Markayla and her 2 kids dead.
The bodies were slightly decomposed and stunk of dead bodily odors.
Benjamin worked at Strickland Brothers 10 minute Oil Change, but he all of a sudden quit working and texted his boss that he had personal issues and had to leave.
Cops tracked Benjamin down in California on March 16th. He is charged with three counts of murder and one count of death concealment. He is currently awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
Dianne Davis, 64, was murdered at the same apartment complex on Orchard Trace Lane.
