USPS mail carrier Brandi Reynolds was killed on the job in a shooting
USPS Mail Carrier Brandi Byrd Reynolds, 35, was kidnapped and murdered on the job in Wilkes County, NC on June 26, 2026. William Durham, 56, was arrested charged with murdering her.
Brandi was delivering mail around 4 in the afternoon. A suspect walked up to Brandi and forced her into her mail truck, and then shot her dead.
The mail truck then lost control and crashed in a rural area. Brandi died at the scene. Brandi was a mother of 2 kids.
William was later arrested charged with murder and kidnapping.
