A step father is accused of murdering his step daughter 39-year-old Alanda Cuffee in Escambia County, FL on April 19, 2026. James Pelzer, 64, is the suspect. Alanda worked as a postal worker delivering important mail.
James had anger issues. He was at home arguing with Alanda about room in the kitchen. James stupidly wanted Alanda to move out of the way when he was coming by in the kitchen without saying excuse me.
Alanda refused and told him to say excuse me for her to move over. James got angry and went to his bedroom to get a gun.
James came back to the kitchen and shot his step daughter dead. James was arrested charged with murder. James had to go on suicide watch once he was booked in the county jail.
James has a history of pulling his gun out for minor circumstances that didnt require it.
