On March 19, 2024 Fox & Hound closed permanently in Charlotte, NC and in Huntersville. The Birkdale Village location in Huntersville lasted for 20 years. The Fox & Hound location at North Lake Mall in Charlotte also closed, an employee Jamielle Clements, 21, was murdered at this location on October 4, 2022. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.
The Birkdale Village location abruptly closed on March 19th. There was also a location at 8500 Pineville-Mathews Road, Charlotte, NC that closed. The most prominent closure was the Fox & Hound at the North Lake Mall location. That closure comes after an employee identified as Jamielle Clements was murdered while working at the restaurant in October 2022.
A fight broke out and the suspect shot Jamielle several times. Jamielle died on the scene. The suspect fled the scene in a white Chrysler vehicle.
There are no remaining Fox and Hound restaurants in North Carolina, all of the restaurants are closed permanently. There are several locations in other states though.
