The deadly crash was on June 3, 2024, at 8:15 a.m. Mehmet was walking on Mckee Rd. A BMW 328 I driven by Olga was making a left turn.

Mehmet was crossing McKee Road. Olga and a passenger in the BMW were not injured.
Officers located Mehmet on scene seriously injured. The BMW had left front end damage. Medic transported Mehmet to Atrium Health Main Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Olga and charged her with misdemeanor death by vehicle. It appears Olga is a business owner, she is a doctor that owns a yoga studio in Charlotte.
