EMPLOYEES USED COCAINE ON THE JOB AT CAROLINA ALE HOUSE AND OVERDOSED ON FENTANYL

Several employees overdosed on cocaine at the Carolina Ale House on Waverly Walk Ave. Charlotte, NC. The Carolina Ale House employees overdosed while on the job on March 31, 2023.

There were 4 total employees that overdosed.

The employees were working the night shift when someone talked the rest of the employees to snort and smoke lines of cocaine on duty while working at 9:30 p.m. The cocaine was laced with fentanyl and knocked the employees unconscious.

Ja’Nyah Smallwood died from fentanyl, she had vaginal and anal blunt trauma injuries

Other employees that were working and not doing drugs on the job called 911 when they saw their co-workers passed out on cocaine and fentanyl.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and gave the 4 employees Narcan, which saved their lives. An ambulance transported the cocaine and fentanyl affected employees to the hospital. The employees that did the drugs will likely be fired.
