In Oct 2026 Saul Lopez Perez, 25, pled guilty to the voluntary manslaughter of Marvin Alonso in Charlotte NC.

Saul beat Marvin with a pipe during an altercation on Kirk Farm Lane in 2025 just two days before Christmas. Marvin died on scene.
Saul and another man named Juan Lopez were arrested originally charged with murder.
During court the charges for Saul were reduced to voluntary manslaughter which he pled guilty to and was sentenced to 51-74
months in prison in October 2026.
Juan’s trial remains pending.
