April Ohrman was behind on rent so she allegedly used the company credit card fraudulently

April Ohrman, 49, was arrested on March 25, 2025 charged with embezzlement in Charlotte, NC. April worked for a financial company named Specialized Investments in Huntersville, NC.

April was in charge of the company credit cards. The owners of the business were reviewing credit card statements from the last 2 years. While doing so, the owners saw multiple transactions related to rent payments, Door Dash, and Amazon, that were in no way related to Specialized Investments.

A club promoter was arrested on a fraud charge

The money spent on the invalid purchases were around $64,000. The owners confronted April and she allegedly confessed to all of the fraudulent transactions.

A police lieutenant and his wife were arrested accused in a credit card fraud plot

Authorities say April provided a written statement confessing to using the credit cards fraudulently, also signing and dating the said confession.

In the alleged confession April stated she started using the company credit cards for personal means due to being behind on rent and medical bills.

She then stated she started using the credit card for food, phone bills, and other miscellaneous items. April was arrested charged with embezzlement.
