Pastor Kerry Coleman died after years of battling kidney issues, known for being funny, bringing youth together, and kicking bad kids out of vacation bible school

Kerry Jay Coleman, 62, died on August 9, 2025. He was a pastor in Charlotte, NC and Florida for years.

Pastor Coleman was known for relating to teenagers and telling jokes, as he was also serious about God. Many teenagers came to hear the pastor’s teachings. Sources say Pastor Coleman even kicked a teen out of vacation bible school for being disrespectful.

Pastor Coleman held pastoral roles at churches in Charlotte, NC and Florida. But over the years he developed pneumonia and kidney failure.

Pastor Coleman even had surgeries to combat his kidney issues. Sadly, his body shut down and he died after a recent surgery.

On November 7, 2024 Pastor Coleman’s big sister Vicki died from cancer.
