Kamren Young, 19, was arrested on October 18, 2024 in Charlotte, NC after a high speed chase on Tuckaseegee Road.

On October 18, 2024, officers observed a vehicle that had been involved in an shooting that occurred a few days earlier. The shooting was on Heywood Ave. on October 11, 2024. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Cops spotted the suspect vehicle on Tuckaseegee Rd. Kamren was the driver. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle began to flee at a high rate of speed.
Officers then initiated a pursuit. Kamren struck a gray SUV while fleeing from officers at the intersection of Tuckaseegee Rd. and Little Rock Rd. but continued to flee at a high rate of speed.
Officers followed the vehicle from Little Rock Rd. onto 85 South where Kamren merged onto I-485. The suspect then got off of the Moores Chapel Rd. exit and continued traveling at a high rate of speed.
Kamren went off the road and struck a mailbox and collided with another vehicle. The suspect then fled from his vehicle on foot where officers ran after him.
Kamren threw a firearm onto the street. Officers eventually were able to get Kamren and arrest him.
Marijuana was found on the suspect. Kamren admitted to getting into a shootout with people on Heywood Ave.
Kamren was charged with felony flee, marijuana, discharging weapon, and assault with deadly weapon.
