CHICKEN KING HAD DEAD PESTS IN FETA CHEESE, NAPKINS ON FLOOR DURING FOOD INSPECTION

Bugs in food at a restaurant is always a no go!! The Chicken King restaurant located at 2400 West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC scored an 82.50 B on a health safety inspection on February 23, 2024.

There was no certified food protection manager on site during the inspection. There were no paper towels in the dispenser of the men’s bathroom.

Raw eggs were stored over onions in the prep unit.

Food debris and residue were on dishes that were stored as clean.

Pulled pork, chili, tomatoes, eggs, coleslaw, potato salad, and several other food items were in the prep unit with no date markings.

Dead pest were inside of a feta cheese container in the prep unit. The inspector saw to it that the cheese was discarded.

Even napkins were stored on the floor behind the cash register. A dark buildup was on the drink dispenser machine.

The Chicken King had cracked floor tiles throughout the restaurant. Food splash was on the walls and ceilings. There was debris buildup on the vent covers.
