Ebony Moore was living a double life, she helped people with drug abuse, but she was using cocaine behind closed doors, now she is dead
Ebony Moore, 46, died in Charlotte, NC from a fentanyl and cocaine overdose. Ebony was a community activist helping young people achieve success. She ran Miss Ebony’s School of Etiquette, Miss Ebony’s Angels Modeling Troupe, and Diva Day Camp. Ebony was busy working with nonprofits to help people struggling with substance abuse. But Ebony was on the very drugs that she was helping others overcome.

Ebony even won the Miss West Charlotte pageant in 1999 and she worked for the YMCA. Ebony is a graduate of Winston Salem State University, many alumni and students of that college have died. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram. Ebony died on April 28, 2019.
The decedent was reportedly in town from New York to celebrate her son’s birthday. Ebony had gone out after dinner drinking with her sister and then was found unresponsive in bed the next morning. 911 was called and Ebony was rushed to Atrium Health Hospital, Ebony died.
There was no evidence of any significant trauma. Ebony has a past medical history of alcohol abuse, smoking, and depression.
An analysis of Ebony’s body showed that she had 0.093 mg of cocaine and 30 ml of fentanyl in her system at her time of death.
Ebony’s lungs had marked pulmonary vascular congestion and edema. Ebony’s bladder contained a small volume of urine. A few small uterine fibroids were present in her body.
The cause of death for Ebony was cocaine and fentanyl toxicity. Ebony was a cheerleader at Winston Salem State University and joined the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
