TACO BELL EMPLOYEE SHOT BY CUSTOMER IN RESTAURANT

On September 30, 2023 a Taco Bell employee was shot several times by a customer over a disagreement about the correct change back from a food order. Doll McLendon, 67, was arrested accused of the shooting at the Taco Bell on Albemarle Rd. Charlotte, NC.

At 9:30 p.m. a customer came in the drive thru and ordered food, the customer paid for the food but says the correct amount of change was not given back. 

The customer and the cashier got into an argument. The customer then drove to the entrance of the store and walked inside the restaurant, shooting the Taco Bell employee several times. 

The suspect fled the scene.

The Taco Bell employee was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital. A be on the look out alert was set for Doll, he was arrested an hour later at his home.

Doll was charged with attempted murder and discharging a weapon in occupied property.
