The Health Department was not happy to see multiple alive roaches at Lang Van restaurant, where Vietnamese food is served. Roaches have been found at many Asian restaurants

The Lang Van restaurant scored an 86.50 B during a health department inspection on March 10, 2026. Lang Van is located at 3019 Shamrock Dr. Charlotte, NC. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.

The inspector observed several bulging cans in the dry storage over ready to eat food. Bulging cans is a huge sign of botulism which can kill people. Several raw animal proteins (chicken, beef, shrimp) had an improper storage order. Several live roaches were in Lang Van also.

An employee washed hands and then recontaminated hands my turning faucet off with bare hands.

A Pho Real employee coughed in hands and did not wash hands during a inspection

Several unwashed dishes had debris on them and were being stored as clean. The slicer also had dried food debris from a previous use.

Unwashed cut broccoli and cabbage were being used for service and stored for use. See here the many restaurants cited for roaches, including multiple Asian restaurants.
