Car rolls over on I-485. This is the third vehicle to flip upside down this week in Charlotte
On January 29, 2026 a vehicle crashed and was turned upside down on Interstate 485 in Charlotte, NC right before the big snow expected this weekend.
At 7:30 p.m. a car was driving fast when it crashed into the median and flipped upside down on its roof.
The upside down crash was before the I-85 interchange. All lanes were closed as of 8 p.m. The driver and its occupants were badly injured, but no deaths have been reported at this time.
This is the 3rd upside down highway crash this week.
