Cain killed his brother Able in the Bible, but allegedly Johann killed his brother Jose in August 2025
On August 2, 2025 Jose Roberto Ferreira, 37, was murdered at The Brook Apartments in Pineville, NC. Johann Manuel Ibarra, 23, is accused of murdering Jose. The men are brothers.
Johann is accused of murdering his brother Jose via a shooting. Shots were fired and police were called. When officers arrived, they found Jose shot dead. Before police arrived, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Johann was later apprehended by Pineville Police at a local gas station and charged with murder. The victim and suspect had some type of altercation. Their mother loved both her sons and she is very sad about this incident.
A shooting in Pineville occurred at Carolina Place Mall just last month.
