At 6:29 p.m. a 2014 Honda sedan was being driven by Lawrence on SC 101. The car went off the road, hit a culvert, hit a utility pole and then overturned.
Lawrence was found unconscious, bleeding, and with swollen body parts; he was nearly ejected from the vehicle.

Paramedics pronounced Lawrence dead on site.
Lawrence was a 3rd degree black belt in Kajukembo Karate. Lawrence had several children identified as Michael Whittenberg, Matthew Whittenberg, JasonAdams, Jasmine Adams, Anthony Scott, and Tyimesha Scott.
